Written Presentation - Technological Innovations
Individually, you must create a powerpoint slideshow and a one-page written document. You must choose a technological innovation, and outline the purpose and benefit of your chosen product using the following structure:
- Context and Needs
- Main Parts
- Operating Principle
- Advantages and Limitations
- Future Improvements
This structure must be followed in both your:
- Slideshow - You may only use notes on the slideshow, the same as you would for an oral presentation. It must include images to accompany the information presented, so as to provide a visual reference for the text.
- Written Scientific Paper (One A4 Page Typed) - You are expected to write a detailed analysis and summary of your chosen technological innovation. You should use the subheadings outlined above. You must absolutely justify its necessity, explaining why this innovation is helpful and how it can help solve problems. You must include a diagram of the operating principle, and explain in detail exactly how it works.
Friday 20 March - 12h00
Submit your first draft of both your powerpoint slideshow and your written scientific paper in the forum of this lesson. You will each be given personalised feedback with objectives and targets to support you in developing your work. This feedback will be given to you by Tuesday 18h00. You must use the feedback to improve your work for a final version.
Friday 27 March - 12h00
Submit your final version via email (alisonmaylindsay@gmail.com).
Late submissions will result in marks being deducted. Final marks will be put on ScoDoc.
